Clare is a Chartered Environmentalist, full Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA), an IEMA environmental auditor and a CQI/IRCA Certified ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor. She is a highly qualified environmental scientist with an LLM in environmental law.
Clare has a wide range of experience within industry, consultancy and environmental regulation. She has worked with companies to improve and develop environmental management systems to ensure compliance with environmental permits and other legislation, and also to ISO 14001:2015. She has assisted companies to improve their environmental performance and develop good practices through auditing and risk management.
Clare has worked as an environmental specialist within electricity transmission, developing and maintaining a certified environmental management system to ISO 14001. She has also assisted a leading car manufacturer develop environmental management systems within their supply chain SMEs.
Clare has experience in due diligence audits, contaminated land investigations, and environmental assessments of industrial and commercial sites. She has been a project manager for several Environment Agency/DETR contaminated land research and development projects.
Clare has a background in water quality and water resources, having worked previously within environmental regulation at the former National Rivers Authority (forerunner to the Environment Agency / Natural Resources Wales).
