Peter van der Merwe

Peter joined Finch in October 2025 as an Administrative Support Coordinator and plays a key role in supporting Consultants and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations. His responsibilities span administrative coordination, document management, recruitment support, onboarding, quality management system administration, and cross-functional business support.

Since the development of the Finch Expert Advisor Service, Peter has worked closely alongside Directors, Expert Witnesses and Consultant Engineers in providing administrative support and project coordination specifically tailored to this service.

Before joining Finch, Peter built extensive experience across private healthcare, digital health, HR, recruitment, and IT support roles. Throughout his career, he has provided administrative and technical support, managed confidential and sensitive information, coordinated staff onboarding and compliance processes, and delivered exceptional customer service in fast-paced environments. Working closely with clinical teams, patients, colleagues, Engineers and stakeholders has strengthened his ability to communicate effectively, build positive relationships, and maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism.

Peter is highly proficient in Microsoft 365 and is recognised for his strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving approach. His unique combination of administrative expertise, operational coordination, and technical knowledge enables him to support teams efficiently and contribute to the successful delivery of projects and business objectives.

A qualified Mental Health First Aider, Peter is passionate about supporting others, embracing new challenges, and continuously developing his skills. He is known for his approachable nature, adaptability, and commitment to helping teams perform at their best.
