Andrew is a Qualified Chartered Accountant in England and Wales. He Trained and qualified at Dains LLP, a large regional accountancy practice, before being appointed Finance Director for a medium sized rail sector engineering business. Andrew joined Finch as Financial Director at the beginning of 2017.
Whilst in private practice, Andrew worked across all accountancy compliance disciplines before moving in to corporate finance in 2005. During this time, he was involved in numerous merger and acquisition deals up to £20m in value, across a variety of sectors, as well as transaction support assignments including business planning, cash flow modelling, finance raising, valuations and financial due diligence.
Andrew moved into the private sector during 2010 to support the Chief Executive develop his business following a management buyout. He was appointed Finance Director within six months and then had oversight of financial strategy through a period of growth which saw turnover increase from £5m to £13m within five years. Over this time, Andrew was central to delivering three successful strategic acquisitions.
At Finch, Andrew heads the company’s finance team and, as well as developing and delivering strategy, is motivated by business development and building key client relationships.
