Tristan is a chartered Mechanical Engineer and a process safety engineer with over 10 years’ experience working in manufacturing and the oil and gas industries. He has completed a wide range of projects from design based verification to acting as safety manager on large rebuild projects.
As Capability Lead for Process Safety, Tristan has a passion for promoting and educating on process safety whether its working on top-tier COMAH sites, or introducing process safety techniques to other industries who have not typically utilised the techniques.
His main area of expertise is high hazard industries ranging from heavy manufacturing to the petrochemical industry, dealing with hazards such as hazardous areas and pressure systems. Having worked on a variety of sites from terminals to large COMAH sites, he has a large amount of experience with auditing, inspections and the verification of critical equipment. His other areas of expertise include workplace transport, PUWER and general management systems.
He has been involved with multiple multi £m projects involving multiple locations and types of equipment for both audit and verification purposes (pre and post commissioning) and worked with C-suite level to present information, updates and proposals for engineering works. Experience with working with large teams and being embedded within client companies, Tristan provides an enthusiastic, passionate and yet pragmatic approach to engineering.
Tristan has acted as an expert witness in both civil and criminal cases which range from arbitration to manslaughter cases. He specialises in pressure systems, process safety, workplace transport, workplace machinery based incidents, slips trips and falls.
