We are very pleased to announce that we have joined the Food and Drink Federation (FDF) as affiliate members! The FDF is the voice of the UK food and drink industry, and we feel proud to be members of such a high profile organisation.
The FDF is the membership body for the food and drinks manufacturing sector. They represent and support food and drink companies, from ambitious sole traders and SMEs to the largest global brands. They respond to the issues and challenges shaping the world in the food and drink industry, equipping their members with the opportunities and expertise to develop, grow and sustain their businesses.
They represent over 800 food and drink companies, the largest manufacturing sector in the UK. One of the key segments that Finch serves is the manufacturing industry so we feel right at home and excited to get stuck in.
We have access to many opportunities through our membership, including networking events, webinars, podcasts & roundtables. We will also have the latest news and guidance about the industry at our fingertips.
The FDF state on their website that “the FDF’s activities on behalf of its members and the industry change over time to reflect the changing policy landscape. Nevertheless, food safety and science, environmental sustainability and the challenges around diet and health are long-standing themes.
In recent years, the UK’s exit from the EU means that we have focused on issues around food and drink trade and access to labour as well as the regulatory future for UK food and drink.
As we look to the future, the role of innovation in increasing productivity is also becoming more and more important.”
