A building supply manufacturing company wanted to modify an existing process to allow for a new product to be manufactured using equipment that had been in place for approximately 20 years.
Project Summary
They engaged Finch to double-check the specification of the machinery, which was based upon the old machinery. Finch helped to create the specification and identified further controls that were required, but also some controls which were no longer required. Finch assisted in the risk assessment process and saved the company £80k by demonstrating that a cheaper alternative system was more suitable. It also reduced the lead time of the parts required.
