Croda wins CIA Company of the Year Award

Croda Europe Limited was announced as the winner of the ultimate award in the Chemical Industry Awards held on 13 June at St George’s Hall in Liverpool.

Hosted by ITV’s anchor, Sameena Ali-Khan, The CIA Company of the Year Award, sponsored by Finch Consulting, acknowledges the most outstanding CIA member company of the year. A company that has demonstrated growth of its business and a sustained contribution to the UK economy over the last 2 years.

To qualify companies had to be shortlisted for at least two other awards. In winning the award, Croda was against other finalists that included some highly regarded contenders:

  • ExxonMobil Chemical Limited, Fawley
  • GSK, Brentford
  • Livent, Bromborough
  • Nufarm UK Ltd, Bradford
  • Robinson Brothers Limited, West Bromwich
  • Solutia UK Ltd, Newport
  • Venator, Stockton-on Tees

Managing Director of Finch Consulting, Dom Barraclough had the pleasure of presenting the award to Croda’s Group Sustainability Manager, Julia Creasey.

Commenting on the award, Dom added, “I sat with Croda’s fantastic Julia Creasey during dinner: her energy, passion, and drive were obvious, and I must admit, I had difficulty keeping the secret, but it was obvious why they won a close fought competition! She had the biggest smile and look of surprise as she approached the stage and I handed her the award.”
