Paul was an Engineer Surveyor in the engineering and consultancy industry, carrying out thorough examinations to the current LOLER, PUWER and Working at Height regulations. He is also a competent person for the inspection of a variety of equipment including lift Installations, lifting equipment, crane machinery and suspended access equipment.
Previously a highly trained aerospace engineer with 24 years of experience testing, inspecting and certifying mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, gas turbine, electrical, avionic and armament systems for the Royal Air Force. He has built an in-depth knowledge of complex system maintenance and fault diagnosis including major component replacement, inspections, overhaul, repair and functional testing. Paul also held roles at the Defence School of Aeronautical Engineering as a Lecturer and at the Joint Aircraft Recovery and Transportation Squadron (JARTS) as a team leader assisting the Aircraft Accident and Investigation Branch (AAIB) in the process of investigating and recovering aircraft involved in incidents and accidents within the UK and Worldwide.
Paul has also spent time with Airbus as a Pt145 Production Planner. This role was to streamline the maintenance practices and provide the forward fleet with greater resources and mitigate lost time through diligent planning and application.
