managing hand-arm vibration

As a noise and vibration expert and a former research scientist for the HSE, Finch senior consultant Sue Hewitt has been invited by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) to give a webinar presentation on how to manage hand-arm vibration within the workplace.

According to the HSE, there were 205 new cases of hand-arm vibration syndrome and 135 new cases of carpal tunnel syndrome in 2019 (1).

Sue’s presentation will cover the common concerns business owners and health and safety practitioners have with regard to managing hand-arm vibration and emphasising ways to minimise risk, and control exposure.

In light of the COVID pandemic, IOSH has created a schedule of webinars and virtual meetings for their members to enable them to keep their knowledge of health and safety up to date and help with CPD requirements.

Sue will be delivering her webinar on Thursday 25th February 2021 at 12.30 pm.

If you wish to speak to Sue about hand-arm vibration, please contact her at [email protected].

The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is the Chartered body and largest membership organisation for safety and health professionals with over 46,000 members worldwide.
