The Marine and Coastal Civil Engineering (M&CCE) Best Project Award sponsor

The European Commercial Marine Awards (ECMAs) is being held in Southampton on Tuesday 11 June 2019 as part of Seawork, the largest European commercial marine exhibition – Finch Consulting is delighted to announce that it is one of the headline sponsors and has been invited to present the M&CCE Best Project Award – a new category for 2019.

The Marine and Coastal Civil Engineering (M&CCE) Best Project Award, sponsored by Finch Consulting, recognises the industry’s most outstanding example of innovation through equipment or service, and the marine civil engineering project that stands out for its scale and impressive nature.

Submissions for this award will include any marine civil engineering project, from refurbishment and improvement to new build of jetty extensions, breakwaters, port and harbour development and maintenance, dredging, coastline and estuaries. The category can also include beach re-profiling and replenishment, coastal flooding and sea level rise, offshore structures, underwater construction, drilling and piling, bridge inspection and repairs.

Commenting Dom said, “For some 30 years, Finch has helped innovative organisations successfully deliver challenging engineering projects in many sectors, so sponsoring this award is a great way of recognising those leading innovators in the marine industry. Although we’ve been around for some 30 years, Finch is not well known, so the size and quality of Seawork and speed@seawork is an excellent platform to promote the expertise of our people who help clients managing engineering, health and safety, and environmental risk in marine related projects.

Seawork is a three-day exhibition and conference taking place from Tuesday 11th June until Thursday 13th June at the prestigious Mayflower Park venue in Southampton, SO14 2AQ. Seawork attracts over 610 exhibitors and 7700 attendees from all over the world.

speed@seawork runs concurrently to Seaworks from Monday 10th June and Tuesday 11th June, and shines the spotlight on fast vessels operating at high speed for security interventions and search and rescue operations.

The keynote presentation will be given by Finch senior consultant, Dr Tom Gunstone on Tuesday morning at the Seawork exhibition conference centre, and the ECMAs awards ceremony will be held on Tuesday evening at the spectacular waterfront Golden Arrow Marine restaurant, overlooking the Seawork Marina in Mayflower Park.
