With more than forty years of experience in heavy and light engineering in various sectors ranging from modern warehouse automation, steel processing to forging and smelting, Wayne is a specialist in safety, compliance, continuous improvement, and minimising production downtime through engineering improvements.
He has experience in relocation, design, installation, commissioning of numerous process lines and materials handling equipment which include waste and recycling plants (of various materials).
Wayne has completed safety and engineering projects in the UK and Europe which include PUWER and guarding compliance on many hundreds of new, aged and legacy machines. He has completed compliance assessments and certification of small and large individual machines and large complex assemblies.
Wayne has developed and installed PPM systems and bearing analysis tools in various sectors which has dramatically improved productivity and reduced plant downtime.
Wayne has managed a team of over forty maintenance craftsmen at a facility that runs 24/ 7, day to day planning and shutdown organisation to utilise plant availability. Cost-saving initiatives include electricity, water, compressed, gas and chemicals.
He has in-depth experience in plant and design feasibility studies, written specifications and FAT testing of individual machines and process lines.
