Peter has 40 years’ experience in the field of noise and vibration. He has throughout these years been involved with occupational noise, entertainment noise, environmental noise, construction noise, hand/arm vibration and whole body vibration. He has worked for local authority in large cities for 18 years, private industry and consultancy. Whilst working for local authority he was responsible for serving notices regarding noise nuisance for both domestic and industrial noise and appearing in Court when these notices were breached.
He has worked on projects such as Crossrail and Nottingham Express Transit Phase II for which he prepared reports on the noise aspects. He was also involved with the preparation of expert witness evidence dealing with environmental noise and vibration at a planning enquiry.
He was involved in the project management of noise, vibration and air quality for an environmental impact assessment of new rail lines across two countries in the Middle East. This involved both planning, building and operational phases.
Extensively involved with many multidisciplinary projects to provide Environmental Impact Assessments and Environmental Statements for clients including wind turbine clusters. His work included large occupational noise assessments for Manchester Airport Group, Virgin Atlantic, and Birmingham Airport.
He prepared notes and ran training courses on environmental noise, occupational noise and hand/arm vibration.
