Peter Brown has over 25 years of experience working in high-risk leisure activity management working with leading global providers of indoor and outdoor activities including adventure holidays, multi-activity centres, ropes courses, and indoor and outdoor leisure attractions. He is experienced in innovative product design and diversification, import, installation, training, operations, and revenue maximisation. He is currently responsible for developing new inspection pathways for Leisure operators including continual monitoring of the leisure selection, auditing and industry inspection bodies and their inspectors involved in the annual technical inspection of some of the most significant leisure equipment in the UK.
Peter is the technical author of BSI PAS 5000, Chair of the BSI Expert Panel for Trampoline Parks, an expert on the BSI ropes course working group and BSI expert sitting on the working group for ISO 23659. He was the founding chair of the UK Committee of the International Association of Trampoline Parks (IATP), the previous Chair of the global IATP and is a founding member of the Active Indoor Leisure Association (TAILA).
His recent professional activity includes directing all aspects of diverse leisure facilities across several countries in Europe. He is experienced at working with all levels within businesses from board level to customer delivery. Working with a US board and across multiple languages has given him a unique view of the communication process, and adaptation of product offerings to meet international regional requirements and legal frameworks. He has been responsible for multi-million-pound Capex budgets and has an excellent commercial understanding of the pressures in the current leisure sector. He is adaptable and experienced at bringing innovative products to market and understands the human factors to ensure best-in-class operations. Peter worked with a team of over 450 staff across four languages to deliver operations to over 2 million visitors a year.
