Senior Consultant
Michael Campbell is an electrical engineer with over 13 years’ experience in electrical, control and automation engineering as well as design, machinery assessment, maintenance, inspection and safety.
His main area of expertise is machinery safety including PUWER and CE marking. He has co-authored pre-tender machinery and control specifications and been involved in a variety of projects both in the UK and India installing and modifying machinery to produce internal combustion engines, electronic drive units and battery packs.
He has performed compliance inspections and tests to ensure that machinery complies with relevant EN and ISO standards as well as company specific requirements on robotic, CNC and other machinery manufactured in the UK, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, China, USA, Canada and India.
His recent professional experience includes writing and implementing safe systems of work for machinery installation and modification using a staged approach to control activities undertaken and access to machinery during commissioning for large scale manufacturing projects across multiple sites within the automotive industry.
Michael has developed accident investigation and reporting procedures for a large manufacturing department working worldwide including the UK, India and China. He has developed and delivered targeted training programs to continually improve the safety performance, understanding and culture of the department.
